Real Living Wage CLEANING IN NOTTINGHAM

We pay every cleaner the Real Living Wage.

Our teams also have access to in-work training, support and mentoring.

It’s all part of our commitment to excellent cleaning that changes lives.

What is the Real Living Wage — and why it matters in cleaning

The Real Living Wage is an independently calculated hourly rate based on what people actually need to live on. It's higher than the government's legal minimum, and unlike the minimum wage it's set according to the real cost of living.

In the cleaning industry, that distinction matters more than almost anywhere else. Cleaning has long been dominated by low pay, insecure hours and high staff turnover — and customers feel the consequences in inconsistent, unreliable service. We've built our business on the opposite approach.

Why we pay the Real Living Wage

We pay every member of our team the Real Living Wage or above because we believe putting people first is both the right thing to do, and the best way to run an excellent cleaning business.

Most of our team have faced barriers to work — including homelessness, addiction recovery, domestic abuse, mental health challenges and long-term unemployment. Fair pay is a foundation of the stable, supported employment that helps people rebuild.

Ethical cleaning that aligns with your values

More and more Nottingham organisations want their suppliers to reflect their own commitments — to fair work, to responsible procurement, to social value. If that's you, Radiant Cleaners is an easy choice: appointing us is a clear, evidenced way to put ethical procurement into practice, and we can provide the impact data to demonstrate it.

Choose cleaning that changes lives

Excellent cleaning and meaningful, fairly paid employment aren't competing priorities — they're the same thing. Choose a Nottingham cleaning partner who proves it.

“Since we became Living Wage accredited it was important for us to ensure our supply chain also adhered to this standard.

The quality of the cleaning service has been nothing short of exceptional! I can say without hesitation that Radiant are the best we've ever had the pleasure of working with.”

Office cleaning in Nottingham:
your questions answered

Is Real Living Wage cleaning more expensive? Not in the way you might expect. Fair pay reduces turnover and raises reliability and quality — so you spend less on the hidden costs of inconsistent service. We give every customer a clear, fair quote, and our customers consistently find the value stacks up.

What's the difference between the Real Living Wage and the minimum wage? The legal minimum wage is set by the government. The Real Living Wage is independently calculated based on the actual cost of living, and it's voluntary — employers choose to pay it. We choose to, for every member of our team.

Do you only pay the Real Living Wage to some staff? No. Every member of our team is paid the Real Living Wage or above.

How does paying fairly improve the cleaning I receive? We believe that well-supported employees provide excellent cleaning and take pride in their work.
